Kellie and Brian | The Engagement

Although I do alot of Engagements at Bienville Square, this one was extra special because it's also where Brian proposed to Kellie! Here are a few of my favs from their session. It was tough only choosing a few! I look forward to spending more time with these guys at their wedding in March.

You can see all of their Engagement Photos by going to The Gallery and using Brian's last name as the access code.

Wear your seatbeat a little tighter today...

...Joseph got his driving permit! Of course he had to drive home after passing his test and I found myself leaning towards the center console only a couple of times. : ) He proudly told his Nana that he only veered off the road once or twice druing the ride home. When she asked why, he replied with "I don't know, the car just went over there"! ha! So with that, buckle up!

He's also grown another 1 1/2 inches since last year. Every year on their birthday we've measured his (and Shelby's) growth on a door. Each of them sign their name and write the date alongside the measurement. I've always said if we ever move that door is coming with us!

Neileigh | Senior 2008

Neileigh is the sister of Shelby's best friend, Laura (aka Lala). These girls are like the Three Muskateers...there's no age boundaries between them. Shelby has become like a sister to Neileigh and Neileigh has opened her heart in welcome. For example, Shelby went to their house today after school. Later this evening I call to see what's going on. You would think that since Shelby and Lala are best friends, Shelby would have been there to visit Lala. Well, Lala wasn't even home~Neileigh wanted Shelby there to help her pack for college. We LOVE her!! I hope you can see in her slideshow just how geniune her joy and how infectious her laugh. I know God has amazing plans for her as she begins this next phase of her life!

Click the slideshow to see more!

Go the The Gallery to view and order. Use Neileigh's last name as the passcode once you register.

Apples and Bananas

Oh my goodness, 6 am came early this morning! I know it's cliche' but I honestly cannot believe just how fast time flies. I just mentioned to Clark last week how the Summer has flown by to which he replied, "life is flying by". It's true!! I don't have babies anymore. Shelby starts Middle School today in the 7th grade and Joseph starts High School! He's already given her strict instruction on the "unofficial rule" as to where the 7th-graders are supposed to stand when they go to Break...to which she replied, "I'll stand where I wanna stand". Typical woman! ha! : ) Every year during their elementary years, they always took an apple to the teacher on the first day of school (on my insistance of course). Shelby was usually okay with it, until one year I forgot to buy apples, but I did have bananas. Yes, I made her take the banana to her new teacher. I don't think she'll ever let me live that down. And I've been told that Joseph would present his gift with his usual "I can't believe Mom is making me bring this apple to you" kinda way. I tell him often that I live to embarrass him and I normally do a pretty good job of it! ; ) But sad to say those apple and banana days are long gone. I dropped them off this morning-alone-again-without me. They're growing too fast and becoming too independent-also, too fast. But I'm so proud of them and the young adults they are becoming. Now as I sit alone in the house except for Hank and Annie Bell under my feet, I'm going to enjoy my solitude and my cup of coffee. : )

Happy Monday!
