Old Friends

Kim was my best friend when I was in the 9th grade. The only problem was that Kim was in the 12th grade. Soon after she graduated and my family later moved to Leroy, life happened and we lost touch. Fast forward about 20+ years and we find each other on Facebook! Crazy!! Well, Kim actually lives in Nashville now, but is home for the holidays so we were able to get together for a visit! Fun times no doubt looking through the old yearbooks and walking down memory lane. : )

This is the last picture I have of us taken at Kim's HS Graduation in 1984.

Family Love

For the first time in several years, we remembered to take a family picture while all of us were together. It only happens once or twice a year, so getting the picture just right takes a little work. ; )

How should we stand?
We're too far apart.
Grace, are you looking?
Wait, let me fix my hair.
I'm taking my family and standing over here; we're the normal ones.
Can you take our picture without them?
Grace, are you looking?
Get Abby's hand out of her mouth.
You're standing on my feet!
Do I have the S curve right?
How hard can this be people!?
Just tell me where you want me to stand.
Grace, are you looking?
Don't get the old tires in the picture.
We're ready, did you get it?

Merry Christmas my internet friends.

Lindsey and Tom | The Wedding

It seems that every time I post a wedding I always say how special the wedding was to me. In some way, each wedding holds some significance to me and this one is no different. For one, Tom is Clark's cousin and how fun it was for the family to be together on such an important day (other than Thanksgiving and Christmas)! Secondly, Stacy was here to shoot this wedding with me. That's never officially happened before and I can't tell enough you the fun we had that day!!!

Tom and Lindsey opted for a First Look which is awesome because we had lots of time to spend with them before the ceremony!

Here are a few favs from the day.

And of course, a slideshow!

You can see all of their wedding day images in The Gallery and use Tom's last name as the access code.

Love For Our Country

This is not what I had planned on blogging today, but this email was sent to me this morning and I had to share this. Lots of you may have already seen this (I know I can be a little behind with things sometimes), but if you've never watched it, please do so now! Even if you've seen it already, sit back and watch it again. If you need a renewed spirit of respect for our country right now, watch it! I know our country doesn't stand united on several political issues and agendas, but the truth still remains that we live in a free country that deserves our respect and loyalty. Furthermore, there are men and women who are battling for our freedom as we sit comfortably in our cozy pajamas and fuzzy robe this morning. To say they deserve our respect is an understatement. The next time the National Anthem is played at an event you attend, stand up, pridefully place your right hand over your heart and pray for our country and those men and women who fight for it! (Stepping down from my soap box, now). ; )
