Ginny and Matt's Engagement

Can you say b e a u t i f u l !!?? What a fun engagement session we had this weekend! I love doing these sessions because it's a relaxed time for us to get to know each other better. It also gives my couples an idea of just how relaxed the photography time will be on their wedding day as well. Even the "formal" time is relaxed and fun! Although this was the first time we've actually spent time together, I feel like I've known this couple and this family forever! Their wedding day for this Fall has been booked since last Fall! We keep in contact often, I've seen them at my other weddings (Ginny was a bridesmaid in Jennifer and Damion's wedding), they're frequent blog stalkers : ) and I know they have prayed for my Joseph. Thank ya'll for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of your special day and for becoming friends! I look forward to October 20!

Here are just a few of my faves from the session.
Oh, and check out those fabulous shoes Ginny is wearing. I immediately asked where she bought them!! ; )

Cher and Sean

Two worlds literally came together one Saturday afternoon and Clark and I were very honored to have been a part of it. Cher is from the United States and Sean is from England. Sean's family and lots of his friends came over from the U.K. to share in their day with Cher's family, too. They laughed alot, cried some and really seemed to have had a great time. The day was relaxed and carefree and the ceremony went off without a hitch at all. Thanks guys for having us there. They were married at the beautiful Grand Marriot in Point Clear, AL and Pat Hearndon did an exceptional job organizing it all.

You know it's a good thing when it comes in a blue Tiffany's box. : )

A sweet moment together for the first time as husband and wife.

I know this doesn't seem like a fancy picture, but I really like it. It's totally impromtu and unaware of the camera. You can really see just how happy these two are together.

If I remember correctly, Cher had these made special (as a surprise) for Sean.

You can also see a mini slideshow here!

Emily and Chris

What a fun and sweet couple we had the pleasure of photographing! They provided such sweet moments for us; they needed no encouraging or help at all. They had tons of fun just being together and that made it tons of fun for me. ; )

These are just a few of my favorite black and white images. Watch the slideshow to see more!

Taylor & Josh

Another beautiful, garden party-themed wedding I had the privilege of shooting! Taylor didn't leave out any details of the day: lemonade was served as guests were seated and the children had their own table complete with coloring books and crayons. Taylor was a beautiful bride and Josh has been probably the most relaxed groom I've had to date. I hope you enjoy their pictures and their slideshow.

Clark as my second shooter.

Clark (my dear hubby) has been my faithful assistant and 'cheap help' now as long as I've been photographing weddings. So many times he'd tell me "I need a camera, I could be taking lots of pictures that your missing." Well, this year I put a camera of his own in his hand. : ) He actually took a camera class in school, but needed refreshing and refining abit. He's watches me and asks lots of questions. I try to teach him a little more with each wedding and he's really been doing a great job. It's really, really helpful to me because his primary job is to just take pictures from different angles and different directions from which I'm shooting. It's also great because the more he's learned, the more he's been able to go off with the groom and the guys to get shots of them that I've been unable to get (as I'm usually with the bride). It's also been great, because while I may be focusing my attention to one thing, he can be shooting what's going on around me that I can't see. Having said that, alot of the slideshows and images I've posted here this year has included images he's taken. Well, the remainder of Taylor and Josh's post is dedicated to him, the great job he's doing and the amazing help he's been to me. I really do appreciate him. All of the following images are images he has taken. The many faces of Josh as he waits anxiously for Taylor to meet him to take pictures.

Look at his expression now as he sees her for the first time. Their first time together.

Josh and Taylor chose to see one another before the ceremony so they could get the most important pictures taken first. It's really great when our couples choose to do this because it gives them time together alone, as well as, gives us good quality time to spend with them to get some great pictures. Taylor was a beautiful bride and Clark captured that well and of course, without any staging or intrusion. ; ) Josh was full of expression, especially when it came to Taylor.

Sweet times during the ceremony that Clark is able to snap while I'm in the back.

Love ya Babe!
